ICES is extremely active within the water treatment industry.  We are currently involved in tailings water treatment and recycling, tannery effluent treatment including heavy metals removal, gypsum scale control in the mining industry and nocardia foam control in sewage treatment.  We have recently developed a remote operated desludging system that can be used for online desludging of cooling towers, dams and lagoons.  This system allows operators to comply with AS 3666:2002 legionella requirements without loss of production or the need to enter confined spaces. 

ICES frequently conducts demineralisation and reverse osmosis optimisation studies.  We also perform acid cleaning and passivation of boilers, cooling systems and other critical components.
